About Me & My Business

Mia Flora Gardens began when my family and I moved out of our cramped West Chelsea apartment into our current home in Fairfield CT. We were lucky to have found a great 100-year-old house built on a double lot. That was my first experimental garden which is still evolving to this day. 

 

As I played around in the dirt, I discovered that gardening was my passion and I decided it was time to start taking it seriously. A few friends and neighbors started enquiring about my availability and I jumped right in to help them with their gardens. 

 

After getting my master gardener certification I officially launched Mia Flora Gardens LLC. It has evolved into a garden design business with an emphasis on small sustainable gardens and creating lush container gardens to complement homes and business throughout Fairfield County.

 

What I love about gardening is that it is bridges the gap between nature and art. When I am creating either a small container or a garden bed my eye is always on color, form, texture and composition as well as making sure it all works botanically. It is truly a living art.
